FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics, endocrinology and toxicology, and can be used to diagnose physical development disorders of children living in the conditions of complex low-level pollution of the environment with heavy metals. When a physical development disorder is identified from a child, the presence of lead, manganese, nickel, chromium and cadmium is determined in the blood. If they are present, functional and laboratory indicators are determined. As functional indicators, structure and volume of the thyroid gland are determined by ultrasound inspection. As laboratory indicators, insulin growth factor (IGF-1), cortisol levels, serotonin, free thyroxine (T4 free), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), antibodies to thyroid peroxidase (antibodies to TPO), aspartate aminotransferase (ASAT), glutamate, gamma-aminobutyric acid (γ-aminobutyric acid), glutathione peroxidase are measured. If a child has a change in the volume and structure of the thyroid gland, and also at a cortisol level of 224.4–279.2 nmol/cm3; IGF of 185.2–130 ng/ml; T4 free of 14.0–16.4 pmol/l; γ-aminobutyric acid of 0.113–0.197 mcmol/dm3; glutathione peroxidase of 38.5–49.9 ng/ml; serotonin of 244.5–314.3 ng/ml; TTG of 1.5–2.1 ng/cm3; antibodies to TPO of 2.2–3.2 IU/cm3; ASAT of 35.8–49.4 E/dm3; glutamate of 118.31–129.33 mcmol/dm3, a child's physical development disorder associated with complex low-level pollution of the environment with lead, manganese, nickel, chromium and cadmium is diagnosticated.
EFFECT: method allows to informatively and demonstratively conduct diagnostics of the physical development disorder in children caused by the action of low-level combined load of lead, manganese, nickel, cadmium and chromium by evaluating the complex of the most significant indicators.
