FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood sample is taken from the child and the content of manganese, lead, benzene, xylene and styrene is determined therein. When the blood levels of manganese and lead exceed their reference level, as well as in the presence of benzene, xylene and styrene in the blood above the lower detection limit, cardiointervalography (CIG) is performed to determine the initial vegetative tone. Biochemical and enzyme immunoassay are performed to determine the following laboratory parameters: level of malonic dialdehyde (MDA), ionized calcium, serum antioxidant activity (AOA), gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) level, glutamic acid level, serotonin level, level of glutathione peroxidase (GLPO) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and when the vagotonic type of the initial vegetative tonus is established in the child according to the CIG results, as well as in case of deviations of the following laboratory parameters with respect to the physiological age norm, consisting in the increased level of MDA, glutamic acid, ionized calcium, TSH, at the decreased level of AOA, GABA, serotonin, GLPO, a central nervous system functional disorder associated with the combined exposure to these toxicants of technogenic origin is diagnosed for a child. Diagnostic is performed if the indicated deviations of CIG results and laboratory parameters are present in the child in an amount of at least 80% of the above deviations number.
EFFECT: invention provides diagnosis of central nervous system functional disorders in children, mainly cognitive impairment associated with external combined effects of technogenic toxicants: manganese, lead, benzene, xylene, styrene.
