FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly a diagnostic technique for unfavourable changes of water and electrolyte metabolism in divers. Substance of the method consists in measuring a sodium-potassium ratio before diving and 40 minutes after a rise. If the measured value decreases as compared to an initial value by 15%, the changes are considered to be mild, whereas a decrease from 15 % to 20% shows the pronounced changes, and the decrease of 20% or more is an indicator of the severe changes.
EFFECT: using the declared technique enables providing higher diagnostic effectiveness for the unfavourable changes of the water and electrolyte metabolism in divers.
