FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: simultaneously with the first probing pulse they connect a radiation photodetector by the first power supply strobe-pulse. An echo signal is received, and delay time value between the probing pulse and registration of the echo signal is sent into a multi-channel summator and further into a unit of signal control and processing. Each subsequent strobe-pulse of the photodetector power supply is displaced by the value equal to time between the start of the first probing pulse and subsequently each following disconnection of the photodetector in the first strobe-pulse of power supply. Upon completion of measurements they form a histogram of single pulses number distribution along delay time in memory cells relative to the probing light pulse along the entire length of the probed space. During the first strobe echo signals sequence is digitized and recorded, and sequence dynamic analysis is carried out to detect the moment of the end of the first cloud layer and fixation of the background echo signal level at this moment, which is further subtracted from the following levels of the received echo signals.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of using energy of a probing pulse with increased probability of echo signal reception.
