FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the devices detecting the gas inflow to the well during drilling. The method is suggested to determine the gas inflow to the drilling well containing: drilling string deployment in the drilling well passing from ground surface to the reservoir; mud assurance in the drilling well; assurance of multiple acoustic sensors at the appropriate places along the drilling string length to identify in each acoustic sensor of the acoustic pulses spreading in the mud along the drilling string length, at that each of the acoustic sensors generate the electric signal sensitive to detection of the of each of the acoustic pulses; determination of change of the mud acoustic characteristics based of the generated signals; and determination of presence of the gas inflow to the drilling well based on the determined change. Besides, system is described for the said method implementation.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of place of the gas inflow in the well.
