FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of measuring energy spectra of quasi-particles in a condensed medium includes exciting quasi-particles with the required properties; propagating, reflecting and re-propagating the reflected quasi-particles; detecting the reflected quasi-particles; processing the obtained information and reconstructing the spectrum of the quasi-particles in the analysed sample. Propagation and re-propagation of the reflected quasi-particles take place along a cantilever needle. The quasi-particles are reflected from the cantilever needle point/sample surface boundary, wherein attenuation of the stream of quasi-particles in the cantilever needle taken into account by calculation.

EFFECT: easy setup, high stability of operation and reduced distortion.
