SUBSTANCE: method comprises receiving a satellite image of the investigated area; receiving a digital elevation model of the investigated area; identifying plains and ridges on the digital elevation model; identifying swamps and forests on the satellite image; generating a glaciological map based on the identified plains, ridges, swamps and forests; additionally determining ice texture, ultimate strength and moduli of deformation of the ice under compression and flexure, constructing vertical profiles of the ice cover; further, establishing regressional relationships which associate the ultimate strength of ice under compression and flexure and the temperature thereof; when generating a glaciological map for a specific area, selecting ice covers having different ice texture, ultimate strength and moduli of deformation of the ice under compression and flexure; furthermore, constructing a bottom relief using an undirected Kronrod-Riba graph; identifying isomorphic subgraphs by finding closest subgraphs based on the Euclidean distance between vertices of different graphs; determining the vertices of the reference Kronrod-Riba graph for the reconstructed relief by calculating the average coordinate and height (depth) value for each vertex of the Kronrod-Riba graph.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of glacial geomorphological mapping and high reliability of constructing a bottom relief.
