FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals from corrosion using paint coats. The anticorrosion pigment is obtained from foundry electric furnace wastes - aspiration fines, containing the following, wt %: Fe2O3 63.9-70.0, FeO 7.0-11.32, SiO2 8.9-16, Al2O3 1.45-3.12. The aspiration fines are missed in dry form with brucite, natural magnesium hydroxide mineral, with the ratio of aspiration fines to brucite of 60-40:40-60 wt %, respectively. The obtained mixture is calcined for 3.5-5 hours at 550-650°C.
EFFECT: invention improves anticorrosion properties of the anticorrosion pigment and reduces power consumption on production by lowering the calcination temperature.
