SUBSTANCE: telephone device requesting communication with a virtual number may be identified as an operator device or a contact person device based on comparing information on the device from the telephone device with information stored in the device together with the virtual number. When a contact person device is identified because the virtual number is associated with the operator device, instructions may be transmitted to connect the contact person device with the operator device or to transmit data received from the contact person device to the operator device from the virtual number. That way, the contacting side may not know that a connection request was made for the virtual number and not for the operator device. Also, owing to the use of the virtual number, virtual number information may be defined at the contact person device such that identification data of the operator device are not visible for said contact.

EFFECT: enabling use of one telephone device for communication with different entities through a virtual number during investigations by operatives.
