FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 4-alkoxy-4H-thieno[3,2-c]chromen-2-carbaldehydes of general formula I , where R=H, OR2, R2, F; R1, R2 is a lower alkyl, having antiulcer activity and which can be used in medicine. The method comprises reacting 4H-thieno[3,2-c]chromen-2-carbaldehydes of general formula II with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) in the presence of an alcohol at room temperature.

EFFECT: improved method.
