FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: maximum values are measured in sequence for thermal electromotive forces (EMF) generated in thermal couples formed in contacts for all permitted combinations of metal structure blanks. Optimal distribution of blanks is determined on condition of minimised EMF values and non-availability of excess in permitted limits of 5-8 mV for at least one pair of blanks. Corrosion-resistance coating in the form of continuous electroconductive layer made of high-electroconductive material with the preset width is applied at backside of a welded seam along its axis. Clamps for double-sided resistance-spot welding are used as EMF measuring tool, and these clamps ensure heating of blanks. Lower electrodes of both clamps are interconnected by a flexible jumper of heat-resistant and high-electroconductive material. Alligator clips are fixed at each blank at the preset distance from the clamp electrodes and are connected by commutating wires with EMF measuring tool.

EFFECT: improving efficiency of electrochemical corrosion protection.
