FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: porous workpiece is immersed in the matrix alloy solution. Performed are the workpiece vacuum degassing, heating and melt thermal expansion at overpressure in the closed space of the vessel. Additional impregnation is conducted at heating followed with cooling and crystallization. Used vessel is made of the material with the minimum thermal expansion factor. As the matrix alloy used is aluminium, or copper, or antimony and heated to the temperature 100°C higher than liquidus temperature of used alloy.
EFFECT: enhanced performances of impregnation due to expanded range of alloys used as matrix alloy, high quality of composites.
