FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite materials by impregnating a porous carbon-graphite frame. Vacuum degassing of the porous workpiece in the melt of the aluminum matrix alloy is performed in a separate vessel mounted on the vibration table with provision of billet vacuum vibration for 7–8 minutes. Billet in cooled to 550 °C aluminum alloy is placed on crystallized as a result of cooling surface of aluminum alloy, which is pre-poured into impregnation device at aluminum melt temperature of 700 °C per 2/3 of volume of device. Through the hole in the installed cover there completely filled is the device for impregnation of molten aluminum alloy heated to 700 °C, the impregnation device is sealed and impregnation of the workpiece is performed due to phase transition of aluminum alloy from solid state to liquid when the impregnation device is heated to temperature of 173 °C above the liquidus temperature of aluminum. Isothermal holding is carried out at the same temperature for 20 minutes to ensure thermal expansion of molten aluminum alloy.

EFFECT: reduced time for composite material production.
