SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTRACRANIAL PRESSURE MEASUREMENT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/03

Abstract RU 2571328 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical diagnostics. A device for determining intracranial pressure comprises a transmitter for transmitting a first acoustic signal; a receiver for receiving a second acoustic signal from a second skull point. The second acoustic signal includes the first acoustic signal passed from the first skull point into the second skull point, and a third acoustic signal representing frequencies of intracranial processes. A control circuit is connected to the receiver and configured to recover a first set of frequency components related to the above transmitted first acoustic signal; recover a second set of frequency components related to the third acoustic signal from the second acoustic signal; calculating a mean peak-to-peak value of the above recovered first set of frequency components; calculating a mean value of standard deviations of a number of fragments of the above recovered first set of frequency components; calculating a mean peak-to-peak value of the above recovered second set of frequency components; calculating a mean value of standard deviations a number of fragments of the second set of frequency components and deriving an intracranial pressure as an arithmetic sum of the mean peak-to-peak value of the first set of frequency components, the mean value of standard deviations of the first set of frequency components, the mean peak-to-peak value of the second set of frequency components and the mean value of standard deviations of the second set of frequency components. What is disclosed is a method for determining intracranial pressure.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to ensure high accuracy and require no trained personnel.
