FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: packer assembly can contain the sealing element for annulus and end ring, that has on its main part a plates moving radially outside upon the sealing element expansion outside in radial direction. Method of annulus sealing in the underground well can include the plates positioning one after one in circumferential direction such that they pass above the sealing element of the packer assembly radially outside, and plates bending outside in radial direction upon the sealing element expansion. The end ring contains at least one detachable insert having round part with plates. At that the first part of plates is formed at on the end ring; and in the said end ring detachable insert is installed, on the insert the second part of plates is formed. The second part of plates is overlapped with the first part of plates when the insert is installed in the end ring. The insert disconnection creates clearance between the plates following one after another in circumferential direction, thus ensuring the line routing through the packer assembly. Another packer assembly can contain the sealing element for the annulus expanding during contact with the required fluid in the well, and end ring having detachable part engaging with the main part of the end ring by means of the lock profiles.

EFFECT: reliability and easy operation of the packer assembly.
