FIELD: well drilling.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to equipment used in an underground well and to operations performed in an underground well. Packer assembly intended for use in an underground well contains a sealing element, a reinforcing element and two extrusion barriers. Sealing element is made with possibility of swelling in the well. Reinforcing element is arranged in said sealing element and comprises a solid cylindrical coupling having opposite ends. Two extrusion barriers are located on the corresponding end sections of the sealing element. At the same time each extrusion barrier is made with possibility of extrusion outside in response to swelling of the corresponding end section of the sealing element. Reinforcing element is displaced in the longitudinal direction from each end section of the sealing element. Extrusion barrier and the reinforcing element do not overlap in the longitudinal direction. Each opposite end of the reinforcing element is displaced in the longitudinal direction from the nearest extrusion barrier with formation of a longitudinal gap between each extrusion barrier and the reinforcing element.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of well sealing.
