FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: blood serum sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus are measured to calculate a disturbed mineral metabolism index as a relation of a total macroelement concentration to a quantity thereof. If the disturbed mineral metabolism index derived is less than 28.446 or more than 33.144, disturbed mineral metabolism is diagnosed.

EFFECT: technique enables the high-accuracy and reliability diagnosis of disturbed mineral metabolism in chemical workers, as a part of screening programs.
