FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation systems for industrial vehicles. The technical result is achieved through a method which includes moving an object on a defined route in a physical environment and placing the object in the physical environment as an object with established coordinates; updating the map of the physical environment by adding data on the object, which represent, in the map of the physical environment, a dynamically placed object with established coordinates; storing the updated map data on a portable computer which is attached to the industrial vehicle, or on a central computer which is linked by a network to a computer on the industrial vehicle; controlling the industrial vehicle based on its position in space, which is determined based on sensor data and the updated map data, by moving said industrial vehicle on a defined route in the physical environment.
EFFECT: easier navigation of automated vehicles.
