FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation. A method and a system are disclosed, which include: processing at least one input message from a plurality of sensors, wherein said at least one input message contains information relating to observed environmental details; obtaining position measurements associated with an industrial vehicle according to at least one input message of a sensor, wherein the plurality of sensors include a two-dimensional laser scanner and at least another sensor selected from a group consisting of an odometer, an ultrasonic sensor, a compass, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an inertial measurement unit and an image sensor; and updating the state of the vehicle using position measurements thereof.
EFFECT: high accuracy of position finding using two-dimensional sensors on an industrial vehicle.
