SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wireless mobile communication. The mobile device finds cells from the first list of the neighbouring cells and from the second list of the stored cells and assesses the found cells, using suitability criteria. If the suitable first cell, which uses the first radio access technology (RAT), from the first list is found, this first cell is selected. If the second suitable cell, which uses the second radio access technology, from the first list is found, but the suitable cell which uses the first radio access technology, from the second list is not found, this second cell is selected.
EFFECT: improvement of efficiency of selection of cells in mobile wireless communication device.
