FABRICATION OF SHELLS WITH INNER RADIAL CAVITIES Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B29C53/56

Abstract RU 2571794 C1

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from composites, particularly, the variable-cross-section shells forbearing structures with inner radial cavities. Claimed process comprises the ring winding of coal fabric band pre-impregnated with binder on the mandrel with radial ledges. Note here that, first, the article conical part is wound and, then, cylindrical part ahead of the mandrel radial ledges to diameter equal to that of ledges to make the clearance between the wound pack end and mandrel radial ledges ends. Then, band is wound on the material pack cylindrical part and mandrel ledges with overlap the clearance between their end surfaces. Said fabric is cut to several work pieces shaped to rectangle connected with the equilateral triangle base with acute angle at vertex. After winding of cylindrical part to thickness equal half the height of the mandrel radial ledges while work pieces are laid on the edge of wound cylindrical part. Work pieces are directed by triangle vertex to mandrel ledges at aligning the workpiece mirror axis with that of the mandrel ledge over the cylindrical part perimeter and over the workpiece pack height. Every workpiece is secured in turns by wound band. Then, the additional ply of material is wound on the cylindrical part and mandrel ledges. Then, work pieces are laid in turns on said additional ply of material at winding the workpiece bent part by the band over the mandrel perimeter and workpiece pack height. Now, band is wound on laid work pieces to required diameter of the article.

EFFECT: higher quality of shell fabrication.
