FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of shells made of high-modulus-based reinforced plastics and can used for making telescope shells. Method comes to making of stringers, frames and skin by placing blanks in mould or on mandrel using autoclave and connection of shell components. Blanks have definite directions of placing and designed number of layers. Layers are placed symmetrically relative to their middle. Grooves are made in skin in number equal to number of frames two of which are installed in inner diameter at end faces and are cut to diameter of end face grooves through half of their thickness. Grooves to suit size of extreme slots of stringers are made in outer diameter at the same side. Stringers are installed in radial slots made equal to depth of inner groove of frames. Number of slots is equal to number of stringers defined by calculation. Other frames are also provided with grooves on outer diameter coinciding with grooves on stringers. These frames are installed in other grooves of skin in form of sectors with projections at ends getting in through half of thickness of each stringer. Number of sectors in frame coincides with number of stringers. Shell components are connected by gluing in place of contact. Ring coincidence of frame grooves and stringer slots is provided with subsequent interference filling-in by glue-based bundle or thread flush with surface. Invention contains description of shell made by this method which preserves stability of dimensions at variable temperatures and considerable axial loads and features low mass.
