FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to electric engineering industry and related to straight-line manufacturing of surface electrodes used for production of lead-acid accumulators. According to the invention electrodes manufacturing process excludes conventional process operations such as lattice moulding, paste applying and drying thus making production of accumulators environmentally safe and unifying production of lead-acid accumulators of different types.
EFFECT: simultaneous increase of specific capacitance, specific energy and power, efficiency factor and service life of accumulator due to use of monolithic or composite structure of electrode with developed surface and with maximum permitted ratio of its working area to weight, at that interior volume of electrode is reinforced by current-draining base made as a system of electrically coupled metal inserted rods, which electric conductivity is higher than electric conductivity of lead and density is less than density of lead.
