FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to female dies for forming of semis from magnesium alloy pellets. Said female die has the elliptic inlet, forming section and outlet. Forming section surface is formed by twisting the generatrix inclined to the female die axis about said axis through twisting angle not over 360 degrees. Note here that said inclination angle varied from 40 to 45 degrees. The forming section cross-section area is reduced over the height of said section.
EFFECT: increased shear forces, hence, uniform interaction of the pellets, disintegration of intermetallide braches, production of semis of homogeneous structure.
