FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: coordinates of axes of rotation of work elements of the machine, for this coordinates of arbitrary points of calibrating surface are measured using the measuring probe. At that as calibrating surface the surface of work elements of the machine are used, they are parallel to the appropriate axes of rotation, and measuring probe touches the calibrating surface at different angles of rotation of the work elements around these axes in plane perpendicular to them. Based on the measured coordinates of probe touch points on the calibrating surface the position of the axes of rotation is determined graphically, they coincide with axes of rotation of the appropriate work elements of the machine. Determined coordinates of the axes of rotation are recorded in data of NC system of the machine for its setting.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the machine setting and increases its accuracy.
