METHOD AND DEVICE TO MEASURE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF PROCESS LIQUIDS INJECTED TO OIL AND GAS RESERVOIRS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC E21B43/00

Abstract RU 2572074 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: in this method intended to measure rheological properties of process liquids including measurement of liquid movement under pressure drop through a channel with fixed geometry from the flow-through cell change in gas pressure is determined in gas buffer generating pressure drop in the flow-through cell. At that the channel with fixed geometry is represented by a membrane with opening having size of free area of 50-2000 mcm at thickness of the membrane of 50-2000 mcm and ratio of the membrane cross-section to size of free area not less than 5, with type calculation against functional relationship: , where Kt is integrated rheological index, ΔP(t) is drop pressure functional dependence, Pa, on time t, s, Δt is time of sample flow, s. The method is implemented at the device, which comprises measuring flow-through cell made as vertical cylindrical reservoir wherein in the bottom part there is a membrane with opening having size of free area of 50-2000 mcm at thickness of the membrane of 50-2000 mcm and ratio of the membrane cross-section to size of free area not less than 5, and its top part is connected to a reservoir of variable volume filled in with permanent quantity of gas and made as a syringe pump complete with pressure gauge.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method at simultaneous representation of liquid properties under reservoir conditions.
