FIELD: geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field geology and can be used in the process of extracting hydrocarbons from underground geological formations. This document describes a method for measuring the viscosity of a non-Newtonian fluid for in-line measurement and process control. Process involves admixing of additives to the base fluid to form a non-Newtonian fluid. Non-Newtonian liquid is fed to a device for in-line viscosity measurement to obtain rheological parameters measurement results. Addition of additives to the base fluid is then adjusted to take into account the measured rheological parameters. Also a system designed to achieve these goals is presented.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the increase in the effectiveness of adjusting the process of hydrocarbon production from underground geological formations.
