SUBSTANCE: first wireless station device determines whether the carrier-to-noise ratio in a vertically polarised wave is lower than a first threshold value; determines that the current modulation method for the vertically polarised wave needs to be replaced with another modulation method, having a different number of positions which is less than the current number of positions of the current modulation method, when the carrier-to-noise ratio in the vertically polarised wave is lower than the first threshold value, and transmits information on the modulation method to an opposite wireless station device. A second wireless station device transmits a radio signal to said first wireless station device using a modulation method indicated by the received information on the modulation method for the vertically polarised wave.

EFFECT: higher throughput.
