FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials, particularly, bricks and other ceramic articles by semi-dry compaction. Claimed device comprises two horizontally oriented compaction channels, the preliminary and main, arranged one above the other and interconnected. Each channel houses reciprocating compaction piston, means to feed stock into preliminary compaction channel, and rarefaction system. Preliminary compaction channel has blind end wall located opposite the piston compaction surface. Said end wall in the main compaction channel is composed of a moving shutter to shut off the channel during compaction. The channels are communicated via opening shut off by the shutter engaged with reciprocation drive. Pusher is used to displace the article formed from preliminary compaction channel into the main compaction channel. Main compaction channel inside is communicated with rarefaction system.
EFFECT: ruled out rarefaction clogging of system, higher reliability of operation and quality of ceramic articles.
