FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention can be used in artillery pieces. Claimed device composed of the barrel angular displacement meter for preparation of pulpit meant for alignment of control units comprises centring stem with metering unit, Morse cone, bearing plate with metering module including three-axis angle gyro transducer and three-axis acceleration transducer and controlled spherical bearing. The barrel is fitted in artillery piece, approximate horizontal location of the barrel is set to fit the barrel angular displacement meter (BADM) to zero the readings and to turn the rotary part about its axis. The BADM angular position is measured to define the angular position of artillery piece rotational axis in horizon and the barrel turn angle. The barrel axis is set by the BADM readings to maximum slope angle and the BADM unit is zeroed. BADM meter metering axis is aligned with the barrel basic axis. BADM bearing pit is set to zero the BADM metering unit readings. Swinging part is turned about the axes of journals in the entire range of artillery piece elevation angles. The BADM is used to measure the barrel angular position at several points. The spatial angular position of the axes of journals, their misalignment in horizon, obliquity of the barrel basic axis journals axes and pulpit journals axis misalignment. The barrel is turned to horizontal position to make the turn angle equal to optimum angle of pulpit journals misalignment. The pulpit is scraped to horizon in lengthwise and crosswise directions.

EFFECT: higher accuracy, reduced lateral departure of the gun barrel from vertical plane.
