FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: in-tube profilometer comprising tight casing with blind elastic cuff in head part and support cuff in rear part, equipped with valves for gas flow and slots for bypass of the contaminations accumulated before it, with two installed over the casing circle rows of lever-type sensors, with angular displacement of the second row sensors along the casing circle by angle equal to half of angular distance between the first row sensors. At end of each sensor lever looking on the pipe wall the platform with wheel supports is hingedly secured. On external surface of each platform the container with piezoelectric converters and electronic elements is installed, they form sonars and ensure possibility to measure distance from the radiating surface of the sonar to the pipe wall, and to store measurement results in the memory of the onboard computer, and to communicate the gathered data to the onboard memory. The sounders are located in the containers extended in the direction transverse to the pipe longitudinal axis. Multiple sonars with small size of the emitting surface ensure separate detection of two close located deformations of the pipe wall, i.e. ensure high resolution capability of the profilometer.

EFFECT: improved metrological characteristics and simplified mechanical part of the profilometer design.
