SUBSTANCE: optical connections of transmitters and receivers with a multiplexer and a demultiplexer are in the form of N non-selective couplers with three inputs and one output, optically connected by the inputs to three transmitters - one central and two peripheral - to form spectral bands identical to the multiplexer, and by outputs to the corresponding inputs of the multiplexer, and N non-selective decouplers with three outputs and one input, optically connected by outputs to three receivers - one central and two peripheral - to form spectral bands identical to the demultiplexer, and by inputs to corresponding outputs of the demultiplexer, and the transmitters and receivers are made such that the central transmitters and receivers form a DWDM frequency grid, identical to the frequency grid of the multiplexer and the demultiplexer, respectively.
EFFECT: high spectral efficiency of the system.
