SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre-optic information transmission systems, particularly to communication systems with spectral multiplexing. Link comprises spectral channels with direct detection and spectral channels with coherent detection. In fibre-optic communication system, including optically connected communication line multiplexer with N inputs for spectral multiplexing N spectral channels, which form a DWDM frequency grid in standard spectrum ITU, and a demultiplexer with N outputs intended for spectral demultiplexing N spectral channels that make identical DWDM frequency grid to multiplexer, and a set of N matched pairs of coherent and incoherent optical transmitters and receivers with coherent and direct detection outputs and inputs are respectively optically connected to inputs of multiplexer and demultiplexer outputs, communication line comprises bays with length from 40 to 200 km, between which there are optical amplifiers, containing at least two amplification stages, between stages of amplifiers are dispersion compensators(one per amplifier), dispersion compensators are made in form of compensators of type, for example, based on chipped Bragg gratings or interferometers.

EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of operation and longer range of communication line.
