SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing reduced hydropurification catalyst, which contains first stage, at which hydropurification catalyst, which was used for purification of petroleum fraction and which has metal, selected from group 6 of Periodic table of elements, is prepared; second stage, at which reducing processing is carried out for part of catalyst, prepared at first stage, then analysis of X-ray absorption fine structure of spectrum for catalyst after reducing processing is carried out with obtaining conditions of reducing processing at which ratio Is/Io, peak of intensity Is - peak, characteristic of bond between metal and sulphur atom, to peak of intensity Io - peak, characteristic of bond between metal and oxygen atom, is within from 0.1 to 0.3 on radial distribution curve, obtained from extended X-ray absorption fine structure of spectrum; and third stage at which reducing processing is carried out under conditions of reducing processing, determined on the basis of second stage, for other part of catalyst, prepared at first stage, with reducing processing containing reduction stage, at which catalyst is processed with processing medium in which molecular oxygen is present, with temperature of processing constituting from 250 to 700°C, and processing time being 0.5 hour or more. Invention also relates to method of producing petroleum product, which contains stage of carrying out petroleum fraction hydropurification with application of reduced hydropurfication catalyst, obtained by claimed method.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining reduced hydropurification catalyst with high activity.
