FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical lens comprises a front curved lens having an outer and an inner surface with an arched shape, a rear curved lens having an inner and an outer surface with an arched shape. The rear and front curved lenses are arranged such that a cavity is formed in between, said cavity containing a volume of a salt solution and oil, which form a meniscus in between. The meniscus wall is formed in the front and/or rear lens, has a substantially truncated cone shape and borders the meniscus. The lens has a channel passing through the front curved lens and/or the rear curved lens, and an electroconductive material filling the channel.
EFFECT: forming a liquid meniscus lens capable of operating in the human eye.
