FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: single-mode single-frequency radiation laser system comprises a system of swivel mirrors mounted to form an annular resonator and at least one additional radiation loop therein. The cross of each additional loop is localised in the central region of the medium of the active element. Each additional N-th radiation loop is formed by a radiation beam passing through the medium of the active element for the N+1-th time. Radiation beams of each loop record the inverting wave front of the mirror in the medium of the active element - gain diffraction grating, and generated radiation beams are reflected therefrom and coherently combined with each other to form output laser radiation.
EFFECT: reducing threshold gain of the active element, the number of active elements in the partial generator when designing multichannel laser systems, overall dimensions of the laser system; wider range of active media used to generate laser radiation; generating laser radiation at non-basic laser transitions for further shift thereof into the medium infrared spectral region of the laser radiation.
