FIELD: quantum electronics; solid-state process lasers. SUBSTANCE: neodymium-containing laser system using passive modulation of cavity Q-factor that incorporates active elements 8,9 and passive Q-switch 10 has its turning mirrors 4, 5, 6, 7 mounted for organizing cavity internal radiation loops. Active elements and passive Q-switch are placed at point of intersection of these loops. End reflector has beam splitter 1 and set of two mirrors 2,3 arranged to form Sagnac interferometer sides. Dynamic holographic gratings are entered in media of active elements and passive Q-switch in the course of generation at four-wave interaction of intersecting beams and dynamic oscillator with optical phase self-conjugation is turned on. In this way Q-factor of dynamic- oscillator cavity is modulated by means of passive Q-switch and end reflector built around Sagnac interferometer provides for angular selection of seeding pulse. EFFECT: improved efficiency of self-conjugation; high spatial brightness, increased coherence length, and reduced divergence of single- mode radiation. 1 dwg
