FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: voltage is fed to the steel article to be dipped in electrolyte and subjected to heating and diffusion saturation in vapour-gas medium. The constant voltage of 180-280 V is fed to the steel article, an anode. The latter is dipped in the flow electrolyte cooled at the rate of 0.5-2 mm/s. Heating and saturation are conducted at the electrolyte flow rate of 0.1-10 l/min.
EFFECT: decreased roughness of steel article.
