FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method involves submersion of a torsion bar into an electrolyte, supply of an electrical potential to the torsion bar, formation of a steam-gas layer between the electrolyte and the torsion bar. First, electrical potential of 310 V to 350 V is applied to the torsion bar, and after the current value is increased, the potential is decreased to 280-300 V and a process of electrolyte-plasma polishing is performed till the specified roughness of the torsion bar surface is obtained. As a torsion bar of the helicopter main rotor, a torsion bar made from alloy steel is used, and as an electrolyte, a water solution of salt of ammonium sulphate with concentration of 5 to 10 g/l is used. Removal of the coating is performed at the temperature of 70°C to 85°C till its complete removal.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of a removal process of a polymer coating at simultaneous polishing of a steel surface of a torsion bar and reducing labour costs for the process.
