FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to composition of electrolyte for plasma chemical-thermal modification of metals and alloys, and can be used for increasing wear resistance of treated products surface. Electrolyte for anode plasma-electrolyte modification contains the following, wt%: ammonium chloride 8–12; ammonium nitrate 4–7; boric acid 2–5 and water – balance.
EFFECT: when using the electrolyte, it is possible to reduce the consumed electric power required for the process, as well as to increase the wear resistance of the modified layer and to reduce the roughness of the surface of the parts by using a boron-containing component and anodic polarization of the treated articles.
