FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method includes installation at the machine table of a cube with edges oriented strictly to directions of the machine coordinate axes, at that actuating device of the machine with regulated and unregulated supports of recoiled wire electrode is moved in sequence in direction of coordinate axes in plane of the machine table until it touches the adjoining and opposite cube edges in relation to the table, moreover the cube is used with two inclined slots made at two edges perpendicular to coordinate axes in plane of the machine table and passing through the edge adjoined and opposite in relation to the machine table, wire electrode touches the above edges in sequence in the area of tilted slots and moment of electrode wire touching the cube edges are defined against vibrations occurred within frequency range more than 2 kHz, moreover at occurrence of vibrations coordinate of the actuating device is recorded and value of corrected shifting δ for regulated support of wire electrode relative to unregulated support in each coordinate axes in the machine table plane are defined as per the following formula: δ = -H/h (lH-lB), where H is distance between regulated and unregulated supports of wire electrode, h is size of the cube edge, lH and lB are values of recorded coordinate for the actuating device when wire electrode touches the adjoining and opposite cube edge relative to the machine table respectively.

EFFECT: improved accuracy in positioning of wire electrode and reduced time for operations performance.
