FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spark erosion machining (SEM) of complex-contoured high-precision articles with wire electrode at programmable NC SEM machines. Proposed method comprises SEM by wire electrode with correction of electrode inclination αei by displacing machine top guide support from bottom to top in feeding electrode into machining zone or bottom guide support from top to bottom toward article machined side surface, perpendicular to electrode part, by amount C, mm: C=b·tg(α), where b is article thickness, mm; α is expected slope of article machined side surface, deg.
EFFECT: strictly vertical side surfaces.
