FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst of exhaust gas purification, including substrate and catalytic covering layer, formed on the surface of said substrate in form of layered structure with upper and lower layers, with lower layer located closer to substrate surface, and upper layer located relatively farther from it, and catalytic covering layer containing rhodium and palladium as precious metal catalysts, catalytic covering layer as carrier contains material, characterised by ability to accumulate oxygen, rhodium is contained in upper layer of catalytic covering layer, palladium is contained both in upper layer and in lower layer of catalytic covering layer, carrier for rhodium in upper layer is made of complex oxide ZrO2, containing Y2O3, and, at least, part of palladium in upper layer and in lower layer is applied on material with ability to accumulate oxygen, and ratio of palladium weight in upper layer to palladium weight in lower layer constitutes not less than 0.01 and does not exceed 0.4.
EFFECT: obtaining catalyst of exhaust gas purification, in which ability of catalyst to accumulate oxygen is effectively increased and high purifying ability with respect to nitrogen oxides is supported.
