FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method to measure concentration of uranium in an aqueous solution, including the following subsequent stages: a) electrochemical restoration of uranium to valency IV present in an aqueous solution with valency above IV, besides, this restoration is carried out at pH<2 by sending the electric current into the solution; b) measurement of optical density of the solution produced upon completion of the stage a), at the chosen wave length between 640 and 660 nm, and preferably - 652 nm; and c) determination of uranium concentration in the aqueous solution by means of production of the uranium concentration with valency (IV), present in the aqueous solution produced upon completion of the stage a), from the result of optical density measurement produced at the stage b).

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce sensitivity to presence of ions in a solution, does not require to use additional chemical reagents, there is an option of automation.
