SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an automated method and a device of visual inspection of objects. For visual inspection of the object they determine the area of space with multiple segments, comprising an object, certain number of sensor systems are provided with the necessary level of quality for data generation about object surface, data is transmitted into a computer system, they detect availability of discrepancies by comparison of produced data with source data, which is produced after object production or generated by means of the object model, maintenance works are determined, a mobile testing system is sent towards the area of discrepancies, non-destructive testing is carried out. The device for visual inspection comprises certain number of sensor systems in the area of visual inspection, a computer system, a mobile sensor system capable of moving in the area of visual inspection during generation of data about object surface.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides for automated visual inspection and monitoring of object surface condition.
