FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device contains the thermoelectric generator with the hot side absorbing heat from the heat source, the cold side giving up heat to the heat sink and electric connections for giving up the electric energy with output voltage, the electric circuit with the maximum allowable input voltage the inputs of which are connected to electric connections of the thermoelectric generator absorbing heat from the heat source. The thermoelectric generator (1) contains the thermoelectric element consisting of n-layer (2) and p-layer (3) of the thermoelectric material with formation along the boundary layer of p-n-transition (4). Parallel to the boundary layer between the hot and cold sides (5, 6) of the thermoelectric generator (1) the temperature gradient is applied. N-and p-layers (2, 3) of the thermoelectric generator (1) have the thickness (11) at which the saturation of the output voltage (S1, S2, S3) occurs below or at achievement of the maximum allowable input voltage of the electric circuit (9).
EFFECT: simplification of electric connection between the external circuit and the compact thermoelectric device.
