FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: claimed vehicle comprises the engine and storage battery. The storage battery can be charged by electric power generator. The latter is actuated by the engine power. The vehicle control device comprises electronic control unit. Said control unit controls the engine shutdown at idling, defines the storage battery charge magnitude and the idling engine reiterated shutdown is executed to set the capacity. Said capacity is predicted to be used at the engine shutdown-start and there between in the range of the storage battery SOC-range in the vehicle motion. Then, the amount of electric power is repeatedly controlled to rule out the capacity drop for the idling engine shutdown. Electronic control unit can predict the vehicle motion with stoppages.

EFFECT: higher fuel efficiency.
