SUBSTANCE: charging control module is used in a system which has a motor, an electric generator and a battery charged by electric power generated by the electric generator and adapted to control stops for prohibiting a restart of the motor in the state in which the motor was stopped. The charging control device comprises a module for charging and discharging rate calculation, which calculates the charging and discharging rate, where the charging and discharging rate is a ratio of the absolute value of the integrated value of the battery charging current to the absolute value of the integrated value of the battery discharging current after a complete charge of the battery; an execution module for pre-charging, providing for stop control and charging the battery by the electric power which is generated by the electric generator, and performing pre-charging for increasing the average remaining battery capacity. The pre-charge execution module shortens the period during which the pre-charge is done when the calculated charging and discharging rate is high, and the recovery charge execution module performing recovery charge to charge the battery by electric power which is generated by the electric generator without stop control, after the pre-charge and providing for a full charge of the battery.

EFFECT: increased battery SOC and reduced period of recovery charge with increased fuel economy.
