FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: storage battery is charged by electrical machine generator driven by the engine. Vehicle control device comprises idling engine stop control module 90. It includes also the module to determine the storage battery state change magnitude (SOC) and module 300 to limit the execution which allows or inhibit the engine outage by module 90 in compliance with SOC magnitude. Module 300 defines the allow-inhibit time moments to make SOC increase at no engine outage at idling higher than SOC increase at the engine outage.

EFFECT: coordinated requests for storage battery charging and idling engine outage.
