SUBSTANCE: steam device for ironing (1) comprising an iron comprising a soleplate (18) having at least one outlet opening (20) for steam; the means (22) of heating the soleplate made with the ability of heating the soleplate (18); a steam generator (50) comprising a heated chamber (51) for steam generation, which is in communication with the said at least one outlet opening (20) for steam in the soleplate; and the control means (24, 56) connected operatively to the said means (22) of heating the soleplate and the steam generator (50), and made with the ability to control the temperature of the soleplate and the steam consumption of the steam device for ironing, at that the control means (24, 56) is made with the ability of heating the soleplate to the temperature uncontrolled by the user, within the range of 105-145°C, and providing a time-averaged steam consumption, at least 50 grams/minute.
